Samsung presented its new DVM S2 for the Peruvian market

Samsung Perú

Peru. The District of Miraflores, in Lima, dressed up last Thursday, May 25, for the official launch of Samsung's new DVM S2 system, in an event that was attended by distributors, consultants, contractors and end users allied with the brand, and where ACR Latinoamerica was present.

The Peruvian market is in clear recovery and proof of this is the increase in opportunities in commercial or industrial projects in both the public and private sectors, which will allow this new VRF equipment to be installed in important projects of this kind.

During the launch event, the brand announced the growth achieved in its participation in the HVAC market in recent years, paving the way to be the leaders of this sector in the region.

For that reason, this launch was of vital importance, because the DVM S2 system is one of Samsung's flagships within this sector and deserved to be presented in style and in front of important representatives of the Peruvian industry.

Aníbal Trelles, Head of Air Conditioning of Samsung Electronics Peru, commented: "It is a very important moment for us because we saw reflected the work of several months preparing the Peruvian market for the introduction of this new product. With the DVM S2 we will mark a before and after in the air conditioning industry, showing that they are more robust, more efficient and smarter equipment, capable of learning usage patterns and preventing failure situations".

Aníbal also highlighted his intention to "also highlight that our distributors are the key piece for us in the commercialization of DVM S2, they now have local stock available and the product can be marketed immediately; That was an important point for this launch."

What's New in DVM S2
Among the main novelties of this new VRF system, the new technology to improve energy efficiency, optimization in design and performance and the application of Artificial Intelligence are highlighted as one of the most innovative pillars of the system.

The new range offers a seasonal energy efficiency ratio of up to 5.23* EER, innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and control capabilities to optimise HVAC conditions according to the environment.

Additionally, the new system includes a more advanced scroll compressor with Advanced Flash Injection (AFI) technology, an expanded heat exchanger with optimized refrigerant flow, a multi-toothed fan and an improved power module.

It is noteworthy that AFI motor control technology allows a wider frequency range of 10~180Hz. The new 10 Hz bass (compared to the 14 Hz of the previous model) makes the system more stable at low frequencies, achieving better WindFree™ performance for comfortable and draft-free temperature control. On the other hand, the new maximum of 180 Hz guarantees a more powerful cooling performance.

The cooling operating range and external static pressure have been extended to provide flexibility in design, along with an improvement in emergency operation mode. In addition, DVM S2 also features an inverter check on the device for better maintenance. Advanced technology for refrigerant subcooling control and installation condition analysis enabled a smaller liquid pipe, providing a 28% reduction in the amount of additional refrigerants used during installation compared to its predecessor.

Application of Artificial Intelligence
Thanks to its AI capabilities, the new DVM S2 range senses indoor weather conditions to deliver optimized cooling and heating performance. For example, the AI Low Pressure Control function learns the patterns of the cooling operation and reaches the target temperature more quickly, ensuring that users in the room feel more comfortable at the desired temperature.

In the case of AI High Pressure Control, the goal is to maintain optimal high pressure by making adjustments based on the installed environment. While AI Defrost Control provides the best time for defrosting operations and thus offers greater comfort during heating. In addition, DVM S2's advanced AI algorithms can detect refrigerant leaks in real-time and send alerts immediately so users can monitor and manage their units quickly without compromising comfort.
