United States. The AHR Expo, an international air conditioning, heating and refrigeration event, concluded its 2023 version, making clear its focus on "reshaping the future of the industry together". We tell you the details of this event and the experiences we had there.
First of all, it's important to note that, according to Mark Stevens, event manager, this year's show will be to remember in the books. "We hear it from every corner of the industry: HVACR is preparing for an exciting way forward. As a collective force, we are focused on change and growth within our industry, as well as anchoring our combined efforts in serious developments to set the course for the future of HVAC. It's hard to miss the excitement."
AHR Expo Statistics
Overall, AHR Expo 2023 welcomed 42,794 visitors and 1,779 verified exhibitors, of which 425 were international. This event also occupied 486,000 square feet of exhibition space in Atlanta.
As posted on the official AHR Expo website, "while these numbers are still being recalibrated from the pre-Covid years, the strong demonstration of new audiences is a welcome sign of growth and a hopeful indicator for future workforce development."
This version also hosted 17 podcasters from the HVACR industry in the show's Podcast Pavilion, where podcasters covered current affairs and spoke with leaders, with the added excitement of a live audience.
"The pavilions remained active for the three days, resulting in interesting content to implement in the coming weeks. Recordings of the full session will be available on ahrexpo.com once the host podcasters publish the produced content."
Academic programming
Stevens also expressed great appreciation for the opportunity to connect all audiences at this event and assured that the logistics team focused efforts to represent each role in educational programming.
"This is an area of growth for us and the fruits of these efforts are evident in the conversations we see flourishing. We live in an age of connection and the need for deeper communication on all levels is evident. As the largest event to host the entire industry, we are thrilled to offer a forum to host these conversations in our programming and face-to-face networking on the show floor."
ACR Latinoamerica participation
From our magazine we participate in the fair, at stand # B866, we can highlight two aspects mainly. First, exclusive brand interviews with GF Piping Systems, FabricAir, Full Gauge Controls and Taco Comfort Solutions; second, brand strengthening, strengthened by the space of Alegría La Fiesta Latina, a special gathering held for the Latino HVAC/R community
From the interviews, it stands out that, from the GF Piping Systems brand, we were able to meet with Ángela Sampaio, Business Development Manager Cooling, who shared the news of her brand at this international meeting. A high-density polyethylene system, called CoolFIT P+. , pre-insulated with high density polyurethane and also has an outer jacket in HDPE, 100% resistant to ultraviolet rays.
On the FabricAir side, our interviewee was Brian Refsgaard, CEO of the company, who shared his satisfaction with us for the 50th anniversary that his company celebrates, as well as considerations of the importance of the Latin American market for the brand.
From Full Gaugue Controls we interviewed Antonio Gobi and Rodnei Peres, CEO and Deputy Commercial Director respectively. They told us about the results of their participation in the fair, the international projection of the brand, with special emphasis on the Latin market and its sales prospects.
Finally, regarding the interviews, we also spoke with John White, owner and executive chairman of Taco Comfort Solutions. He shared with us, among other things, the company's plans in Latin America, an area where it has good contacts, especially in Mexico.
To conclude, it is relevant to note that the Fiesta Alegría had a full house, so that this meeting, sponsored in platinum mode by Everwell and the gold sponsorship of QE Quality, served as a platform for socialization and leisure space for the guests.
