Spain. Last Saturday, October 15th, in a publicationon its LinkedIn network, the chapter for Spain of ASHRAE communicated with great sadness the death of Jesús de Lara, who had been as president of the organization since 2020.
"We have left an excellent professional and a dear friend for all the members of the Governing Board and Disciplinary Committees." Were the words used in the publication.
In this space, a short tribute was also paid to Lara's work performance. "We remember his mandate carried out with admirable professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication, and that despite the adverse circumstances due to the pandemic, he was able to lead the association extraordinarily well, under a more than complicated context."
Lara was remembered as "a person of integrity and impeccable, both professionally and personally: educated, gentlemanly, fighter, funny."
