International. Secop officially announced the opening of a new R&D Center in Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia. Secop decided to invest in a new R&D center to leverage innovation and development capabilities, thereby strengthening the engineering skills available at the Gleisdorf, Flensburg, Zlaté Moravce and Tianjin locations.
The decision to establish the new R&D centre in the Spišská Nová Ves region is strongly linked to Secop's presence in Slovakia and the core competencies offered by the region. The R&D Center will support product development and product engineering for commercial range compressors, both designed and assembled at the Zlaté Moravce manufacturing plant. The R&D Centre will operate in coordination with the R&D based in Gleisdorf.
After the R&D center in Gleisdorf in 2020 and the new headquarters in Flensburg in 2021, along with a new laboratory facility and application center, this is Secop's latest investment with the aim of boosting development and engineering capabilities to support product development and deepen our immersion in innovative solutions, which is one of the fundamental pillars of our strategic plan.
The new offices were opened with a warm welcome from the local authorities of Spišská and the representatives of secop management, Jan Ehlers (CEO), Fabricio Possamai (CTO), Johannes Maerz (COO) and Norbert Brath (Director of the Slovakia plant).
