International. The Board of Management of Secop GmbH announced the appointment of Dr. Andreas J. Schmid as the new Group Chief Executive Officer at Secop GmbH, who took up the new position on 3 May.
Dr. Schmid has over 20 years of international experience as a board member, managing director and manager. Under his responsibility, the Funkwerk, Schaltbau and FCT groups have grown sustainably and profitably. In addition to strategic corporate development and the development of new business areas, he has a broad and deep knowledge in mergers and acquisitions, PMI, portfolio management, lean management and digitalization.
Dr. Schmid studied physics at the Technical University of Munich and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
