International. Reliable Controls announced the latest update to its building management solution, RC-WebView 3.14.
This new version of the software means that distributors no longer rely on System Group graphics in RC-Studio®; they can now display live data using Browsing Groups in RC-WebView, saving them setup time and giving them infinite flexibility.
This ability to display live data in RC-WebView Navigation Groups includes HTML5 animations from RC-GrafxSet®, Reliable Controls' graphical asset software. For example, a reseller might add a pinned Google map for multiple buildings in a company to a navigation group or create interactive HVAC, lighting, and security graphics.
Previously, distributors used groups of systems to display data for a single connected system; Navigation Group's new feature transcends multiple building automation systems, allowing distributors to quickly and securely access data across an entire company.
"This release largely allows distributors to create enterprise-grade dashboards using the new and improved Navigation Groups feature," says Mark Hatherly, product owner at Reliable Controls. Mark is pleased to announce that RC-WebView 3.14 was recently recertified as a BACnet operator workstation in BACnet Revision 16.
Also new is the alarm history cleanup feature, which allows distributors to manually clean old alarm notifications as needed or schedule periodic cleanups that keep their database at a manageable size. Without a mechanism to remove expired alarm notifications, the database size could increase beyond the maximum of 10 GB allowed with SQL Server Express, the default RC-WebView database.
"Our team responds to the features most requested by distributors and we strive to offer flexible and reliable software that satisfies our network of distributors and their customers," says Hatherly.
In addition to the high level of integration between HVAC, security and lighting systems, the sustainability of buildings demands the use of technology that supports secure and scalable data communications. Reliable Controls RC-WebView provides a single sign-on architecture and a comprehensive approach to security, no matter how many different BACnet devices are deployed by the distributors or buildings they control.
