Costa Rica. Engineer Lisandro Salas Mora, CEO and founder of the company Refrigeración y Soluciones de Frío S.A., received a special recognition, in the Third Edition of the CITEC Award (College of Technologist Engineers), with the Innovative Technologist Engineer Award for the redesign of the Stratum Coca Cola project.
The College of Engineers Technologists of Costa Rica seeks to promote the exercise of technical leadership in the different engineering for the benefit of the country and promote innovation and creativity in order for its members to continue on the path of professional excellence. That is why, every year, it rewards professionals who have made outstanding contributions in their fields of action.
The Stratum Coca Cola project was highlighted by a redesign of the cooling and air conditioning system that increased the efficiency of the system, used a natural refrigerant, generated energy by using waste heat and used radiant floor technology. All developed under the standards of the IIAR and the standards of INTECO in Costa Rica, Montreal Agreement and Country Carbon Neutrality Program.
This was the first project in Costa Rica using low ammonia volume and direct expansion technologies.
"The truth is that this achievement is not mine, it is an achievement of the whole company," said Engineer Salas, who affirms that his multidisciplinary work team was fundamental to obtain this great result.
