Spain. IFEMA confirmed for the face-to-face realization of the International Exhibition of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (C & R), an event that will be held from February 23 to 26, 2021 in Madrid.
The organizers assure that they have implemented different actions and protocols that guarantee an environment of hygiene and anti-COVID safety, eliminating the re-circulation of air, offering excess ventilation in their pavilions, as well as the installation of air filtration systems, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the studies of the Associations of the sector in this regard.
The Community of Madrid has awarded IFEMA the Madrid Guarantee seal that recognizes IFEMA's work in the adoption of mandatory standards in the new normal imposed by COVID-19, as well as for the development of extraordinary protocols. In addition, IFEMA has obtained the 'Safe Travels' seal from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) for the Convention, Meeting and Event Center industry, for the protocols and actions carried out for the return to activity with a safe, healthy and responsible reopening.
These certificates recognize the importance of adopting measures and protocols implemented to guarantee the safety and mobility of participants to events, as well as the transmission of information to all of them, on access control measures and capacity, physical distancing, hygiene and cleaning measures; in addition to the redesign of the events, with the combination of face-to-face and hybrid formats, as essential provisions for a correct development of the fairs and congresses.
The figures reached in its last edition, held in 2019, in a positive environment for the sector and strong market activity, show the strength and convening capacity of C &R, which brought together the novelties of 374 direct exhibitors and received the visit of 54,781 professionals from 88 countries.
