Mexico. Danfoss Mexico presented its new factory of condensing and tandem units (compressors) at the plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León.
This plant has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology for leak detection, also has a quality system based on the automotive industry backed by an experienced team of the industry, following the tools and quality standards ISO / IATF, as well as personnel certified by the American Welding Society (AWS), in addition to the multifunctional team in-situ with R & D specialist personnel, supply chain, quality and product management.
"The assembly process includes great benefits such as the laboratory (inhouse) which represents a greater speed of development, diagnosis and elaboration of dedicated projects for different industries, meaning a growth for the Site of Mexico of more than 15% of the total business," said Xavier Casas, General Director of Danfoss Mexico.
The new laboratory is equipped with thermal chambers for performance and reliability testing, calorimeter, test bench and a prototype area to support new local product developments, refrigerant certification and rapid adaptation to the market. The production line of the Condensing Units at the Apodaca plant complies with the wide range of national regulations and international standards, optimizes application times, and in parallel maintains a clean relationship with the environment.
All stations are fully integrated into a new manufacturing execution system (MES) that provides full control, traceability and transparency for production and new products. Danfoss uses the local supplier network for key components to ensure a short delivery time.
