International. Johnson Controls is one of six industrial manufacturing companies that have been recognized by Ethisphere as one of the most ethical in the world. This is the thirteenth year in which the brand was awarded by the global firm in defining and promoting standards for ethical practices in companies.
In total, 132 organizations representing 51 countries and 21 industries were honored on the list. "Our position there demonstrates our commitment and dedication to prioritizing best practices in the workplace. The criteria include social and environmental practices, diversity activities, ethics and compliance, and initiatives to support a strong supply chain," the company's statement said.
Companies included in the 2020 list of "The World's Most Ethical Companies" continue to foster ethical practices in their businesses and this distinction is a recognition for cultivating a more inclusive and transparent work environment, improving company culture and setting themselves the achievement of significant successful results.
"Receiving this recognition for the 13th year not only reflects our strong culture of integrity, it also highlights our employees' commitment to upholding our values," said Larry Leverett, Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. In March and April of this year, information from the 2020 laureates was disclosed and shared. Companies participating in the evaluation process receive an Analytical Results Record, which provides them with a holistic assessment of where their programs stand against the exacting standards of leading companies.
