International. Emerson has introduced the copeland modular indoor solution, a new all-in-one food retail refrigeration system, which combines Copeland Scroll variable-speed compressors with Emerson's ProAct Connect+ business management software.
Designed for showcases and other in-store food sales applications using distributed architectures, it provides seamless integration of refrigeration equipment into facility controls to unlock the full potential of data management. It offers an efficient, low-space, low-maintenance alternative to large, centralized traditional systems. This system also helps store owners and operators who rely on multiple suppliers and integrate different brands in the search for an efficient and connected store.
"As consumer trends prompt food retailers to rethink store formats, adaptability and square footage are becoming increasingly valuable products," said Sai Krishnan, vice president of solutions integration and electronics at Emerson. "Manufacturers and retailers are looking for alternatives to traditional, one-size-fits-all centralized architectures. In response, we present this modular solution for interiors, which offers an alternative of low cost, reduced size and low maintenance. It is specifically designed to help retailers implement distributed architectures quickly and successfully."
The modular indoor solution Copeland offers:
- Plug-in cooling flexibility for rapid development cycles and store deployment
- Low GWP and highly energy efficient cooling to improve operations
- Low-profile and silent system for a better customer experience in the store
- Advanced electronics with seamless integration into facility controls for data management
- Enterprise-enabled platform with remote monitoring that can help owners and operators manage food quality and safety
"This product offers what Emerson calls the 'six S': sustainable, simple, stable, useful, safe and smart," said Diego Marafon, Emerson's refrigeration scroll product manager. "It therefore raises the industry standard by helping customers meet their critical operational goals for entire store performance and optimizing food maintenance, quality and safety, and an optimal in-store shopping experience."
