Colombia. Vida Centro Profesional PH is a building that is located in the city of Cali, where a solar energy project was recently executed.
The iconic building that has become a benchmark of the city, known as the building of colors, where a highly complex clinic and a center for health professionals operate, now has energy generated by the sun for its operation.
The photovoltaic system installed by Celsia, an energy company of the Argos Group, has 445 modules that will generate approximately 144,863 kWh of clean energy per year and will cover about 17% of its energy consumption of the common areas of Vida Centro Profesional PH.
The panels were installed on 960 square meters of the terrace of tower No. 3 of this medical complex where 403 medical offices and a highly complex clinic work.
Diana Tobón, president of the Board of Directors of the building, indicated that "alternatives were evaluated to reduce energy and water expenses of the common areas of the building, which led to explore all ecological options, finding Celsia as a strategic ally for the implementation of clean energy (SSF) in tower 3 as the first phase. With this company we also changed all the lighting of common areas to LED".
In turn, Luis Felipe Vélez, commercial leader of Celsia, comments that "we are very proud that one of the most emblematic buildings in Cali is consolidated as a sustainable health institution and example for the region, and, better yet, that they can do it hand in hand with us. At Celsia we want to be allies in energy efficiency to make life easier for our customers so that they can concentrate on the heart of their business while being friendly to the environment."
The development of these solar projects is carried out under a business model in which Celsia is responsible for the investment in the assets, assembly, operation and maintenance of the system, offering a stable rate over time.
