International. Armstrong Fluid Technology announced that it has signed the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Pledge, launched by the World Green Building Council. The commitment is unique in positioning energy efficiency as a core component to achieving decarbonization in global portfolios.
All signatories to the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment commit to achieving net-zero carbon operating emissions within their portfolios by 2030.
To meet this commitment, Armstrong will take the following steps to incorporate energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions:
1. Implement energy efficiency measures to reduce the consumption of electricity and fossil fuels.
2. Generate renewable energy on site.
3. Acquire renewable generated electricity and carbon offsets.
"For the past 20 years, we have been refining the efficiency of our portfolio and dismantling the economic barriers around efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions," said Charles Armstrong, president and CEO of Armstrong Fluid Technology. "Improving performance doesn't have to mean paying a premium price. Achieving Net Zero and helping our customers achieve their own sustainability goals is our core job."
