International. Global Plasma Solutions (GPS) announced that its electronic air cleaners for indoor air purification are certified by UL 2998 and UL 867-2007 as an ozone-free technology.
Gps announced that its bipolar needle ionization (NPBI) technology is UL validated as an ozone measured by zero emissions as proven by the UL 2998 standard.
GPS technology also passed third-party testing conducted by Intertek/ETL to UL for the safety of electrostatic air cleaners, UL 867, section 37 Fourth Edition, December 21, 2007.
The wire test requires 2.0 sampling away from the device's output, as well as a sealed chamber test to confirm that ozone does not accumulate over time.
The rigorous UL 867 ozone test demonstrates that if an electrostatic air cleaner (NPBI) does not produce ozone in excess of the acceptable levels of 0.05 PPM in a closed chamber, it will not produce ozone above the acceptable level in a duct.
Independent tests showed maximum levels 15 times lower than the allowable limit of 0.05 PPM.
