United States. Sanhua announced the opening of its Sanhua Texas Technology Center (STTC) with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony held on November 15.
After the ribbon cutting, Betty Russo made the first remarks, representing Governor Gregg Abbott; Cody Holder, representing Harris County Commissioner R. Jack Cagle; Gwen Tillotson representing Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner; and Sanhua's Director of Science (CSO), Linjie Huang.
After the comments, the attendees took a tour of the facilities. The Sanhua Texas Technology Center (STTC) has an initial investment of $10 million in Houston's economy and employs 20-25 people from the local area.
"Houston was chosen after a thorough search for possible locations in the United States," said CY Zheng, president of Sanhua North America. "We base this decision on the hospitality of the state and local government, the availability of a large pool of trained local talent to meet our specialized staffing needs, and the excellent transportation network here, including the world-class international airport."
Over the next few years, Sanhua is planning an additional investment in the U.S., including a north american headquarters. Houston is on the final list of cities being considered for the venue.
