International. Analyst Navigant Research forecasts that revenue from the commercial and energy-efficient HVAC technologies market will reach $61.2 billion by 2027.
The research firm predicts that revenue generation in the market will increase from $29.4 billion in 2018, due to current regulation supporting commercial building owners to adopt smart controls, enabling intelligent management and construction operations.
Courtney Marshall, research analyst at Navigant Research, said: "These technologies are compatible with Energy Cloud platforms, such as Building-to-Grid, Transportation-to-Grid and Smart Cities.
"Efficient HVAC technologies enable connections to the grid and commercial buildings by optimizing equipment operations, while maintaining comfort for the occupants of their buildings."
Energy-efficient technologies are expected to follow trends in IoT, demand response, and grid connectivity markets.
These trends will deliver greater energy and demand savings through building optimization, to support the global shift towards renewable or clean energy resources.
The Asia-Pacific region is expected to dominate the market, with projected revenue growth of US$39.3 billion by 2027, while Western Europe is expected to reach more than US$12.1 billion.
Energy-efficient technologies include unitary systems, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, variable refrigerant flow systems, chillers and geothermal heat pumps.
