Colombia. The company of the Valley, Enriko, producer and marketer of processed meat foods, made an investment of more than $ 25,000 million (about US $ 8 million) in the construction of a new plant of 10,000 m2, which has the capacity to produce about 800 tons per month and is located in the municipality of Yumbo. Currently, it processes about 350 tons of product per month.
The manager of Enriko, Holmes Calero, considers that the new plant is a great bet, since it is an avant-garde project, with environmentally friendly processes and that allows the development of competitive products.
With the new factory, the company is betting on growing 18% this year, despite the fact that the market has been resentful. Expectations are focused on the commercial dynamics of customers and the search for other chains in which you can market your products to reach the final consumer.
