United States. At a ceremony held Sept. 7 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, representatives from Greenheck, the City of Tulsa, the State of Oklahoma and the Cherokee Nation were on hand for the opening of Greenheck's new Tulsa campus.
The first phase of construction will begin in October with completion dates expected in mid-2018 for initial installations that will serve as a manufacturing and distribution hub for the Accurex brand of commercial Greenheck kitchen ventilation products and its Greenheck tempered air products (TAP) division. The initial space will be approximately 200,000 square feet with a plan to add buildings as required by growth needs.
"This realization is an important milestone and the first step in becoming an integral part of the Tulsa business community and better serving a growing list of customers across the country and abroad," said Jim McIntyre, president and CEO of Greenheck.
McIntyre noted that Tulsa's central location; its strong and growing business community; and easy access to a smart and talented workforce made the decision to expand to Tulsa easy.
Tulsa-based Cyntergy is the architect of the project, with Choate Construction as the construction partner.
Greenheck's new presence in Tulsa will create 75 jobs in 2018, with a number expected to increase significantly as the project becomes a reality over the next five years. Greenheck announced his decision to build a new campus in Tulsa in August after exploring several options in the region.
