International. What they call a revolution in the world energy market has materialized with the merger of the international company Siemens Wind Power and the Spanish Gamesa which, they will assure, will create the largest energy supplier in the world.
Similarly, Siemens Wind Power confirmed the acquisition of the U.S. company, Mentor Graphics, which will strengthen its portfolio of digital products and services.
From the merger between Siemens Wind Power and Gamesa will be born a new company for the wind market which will have a presence in 90 countries and will start operations with an order book valued at 21,000 million euros and 11,000 million euros of revenue.
"The closing of the two agreements has allowed us to reach another key milestone in the implementation of Vision 2020," said Joe Kaeser, President and CEO of Siemens. "With the new wind energy company, we have created a global leader in the area of renewable energy, Mentor Graphics will help us further expand our leadership role in the digital sector, both benefiting customers, employees and shareholders."
