International. Schneider Electric has introduced the new New Energy Opportunities (NEO) Network, an online collaborative platform to help commercial and industrial companies quickly identify and examine prospects for renewable energy, clean and energy efficiency technologies.
The network has been developed to simplify and accelerate the purchasing process by connecting end users to viable projects and technologies. As a result, companies are able to find the right tools and financial vehicles to meet their sustainability goals – whether it's a power purchase agreement (PPA) of electricity from a wind farm or a solar distribution along with energy storage.
Schneider Electric will act as moderator of the network, building the platform and rating the participating organizations. The company will bring its expertise in energy management and sustainability, which includes managing 40 gigawatts of charging electricity in more than 100 countries on behalf of customers.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, global energy consumption will increase more than 50% by 2040, with renewables becoming the fastest-growing energy source. As the need for clean technology grows, along with technology and purchasing options, companies are faced with the challenge of finding an ideal complement to support their climate action and business goals.
