Colombia. The Colombian Council for Energy Efficiency (CCEE), as the authorized organizer of EVO training, will hold in Colombia the first training course and exam for Professional Certification in Measurement and Verification CMVP.
The course will be held in Bogotá from May 4 to 6 and the certification exam will be on Saturday, May 7.
The CMVP course is based on the International Protocol for the Measurement and Verification of Energy Performance (IPMVP) which is a guide to best practices in measurement and verification (M&V). The CMVP professional will play a fundamental role in verifying the energy savings achieved through the implementation of Energy Efficiency projects to generate confidence and reduce the perception of risk for the parties involved in the projects, including financial institutions and investors.
The IPMVP is used as the basis for M&V protocols in government institutions and by utilities worldwide to verify the outcome of energy efficiency improvements and projects. It is also referenced as a guiding document in the ISO-50000 energy management standards, has been translated into 15 languages and is used in more than 100 countries.
