Colombia. The Yariguíes airport in the city of Barrancabermeja, located in the west of the department of Santander, received an investment for the remodeling of different areas, including the air conditioning of some physical spaces.
The HVAC works, carried out specifically in the common areas, are in the process of completion and had a value of $ 1,919 million pesos (about US $ 679,000), which are part of the total remodeling investment worth $ 14,000 million pesos (about US $ 5 million).
The Concession Aeropuertos de Oriente indicated that the works it executes correspond to the covering of walls with open areas (second floor), the construction of a pergola on the south façade of the building, the location of diffusers and waterproofing for ducts on the roof, the installation of air conditioning and sun cutters for the window. He informed that the common areas of the first floor will be air-conditioned in 602 square meters, while on the second floor will be 135 square meters.
The mayor of Barrancabermeja, Elkin Bueno Altahona said that these resources are to be invested in the expansion of the Yariguíes by the concession that is in charge of the Buenos Aires airport. The first phase of execution of the resource corresponds to the air conditioning works.
