United States. Distech Controls announced that it has reached a collaboration agreement with Notman House, one of Canada's leading technology hubs.
Operated by the OSMO Foundation, this historic building in downtown Montreal provides technology startups with flexible office space that promotes networking, community building and shared learning.
The relationship will be twofold, with Distech Controls providing its IP-based building automation solution Eclypse Notman House, and the two organizations will jointly hold innovation competitions focused on green building technology.
Through this strategic alliance, Notman House will become an Internet of Things building that they build with the implementation of the Eclypse system and the response of Envysion, a web interface of design and visualization. Through this powerful connectivity, Notman House residents will have environmental control, and advanced monitoring and analysis capabilities, further launching this historic building into the future.
The partners will also focus on a series of innovation competitions (hackathons) providing the tech community with the opportunity to address the specific challenges facing the building automation and energy management industry.
The installation of Eclypse in Notman House will be carried out in 2016.
