United States. The 2015 AHR Expo, which will begin on January 26, announced through the Organizing Committee that three new all-time records have already been established for the event to be held in Chicago.
As of the first week of January, there were more than 2,100 exhibiting companies occupying more than 480,000 net square meters of exhibition space – both are new registrations for the flagship event in its 67th version. The AHR Expo 2015 will be at least 10% larger than the previous one and has 8% more exhibitors than last year's event in New York City. Included in this record is the number of companies (380) that have never exhibited before at the show.
Another new record is the number of international exhibitors showcasing their products and solutions. This year, 592 international companies from more than 30 countries will exhibit in Chicago, representing a 16% increase over the previous record.
"Chicago is the place where our biggest shows take place," said Clay Stevens, president of the International Exposition Company, which produces and manages the AHR Expo. "But we're very happy to see how big the 2015 Show will be."
These record numbers also bode well for a strong visitor turnout. Stevens said the pre-record is currently running ahead of the last Chicago of 2012, which was at the time held the attendance record.
