International. The British manufacturer of air conditioning pumps, Aspen Pumps, has been awarded for the second time with the Queen's Award for innovation. The award recognizes Aspen's progress over a range of pioneering pumps of its kind, designed for all types of air conditioning installations.
"Being awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2009 was a huge achievement for this British manufacturer, but receiving the Queen's Award for Innovation a few years later is testament to the dedication, innovation and quality products that are synonymous with the Aspen Pumps brand," the official statement reads.
With almost 25 years of experience, the company has now presented its latest technologies for anti-siphon devices, to attenuate sound, and for universal voltage that ensure that the range of mini pumps is versatile and flexible.
The company has products such as Mini Lime, it is a one-piece pump, which fits perfectly into the junction circuit, and the Mini Aqua that can be installed inside the unit. The Mini Orange is designed for duct units and fits over the false ceiling, while the Mini Blanc fits under a wall-mounted unit, for installations where quick access is key for maintenance.
Adrian Thompson, CEO of Aspen Pumps said: "Aspen Pumps was created because there was a niche in the market that needed to be filled. Installers used pumps that were not fit for purpose, cumbersome and difficult to maintain. The engineers who founded the company wanted to provide the market with a pump that was easy to maintain and would inevitably ease the installer's work. The mission of meeting the needs of the market and innovating in products has been the same since 1992. We pride ourselves on pushing boundaries and offering installers what they really want, not what we think they need."
