Colombia. The manufacturer of refrigerators and refrigerators Haceb, built a new plant located at the company's headquarters, north of the city of Medellín, which is characterized by its compliance with the parameters of the Montreal and Kyoto Protocols to have a production without affecting the ozone layer.
As reported by the national newspaper El Tiempo, the company will now implement equipment manufacturing processes that have a 40% energy saving. At the new plant, Haceb adapted an injection system and uses raw materials and gases that do not harm the ozone layer.
Currently, the operation of the new 22,000-meter plant is at 95% and approximately 3,000 diaper refrigerators are being produced. The goal is to reach an annual production of one million units, that is, an average of one refrigerator every 50 seconds.
The investment of the new complex was about US $ 50 million and around 1,000 people work there.
