International. Mitsubishi Electric unveiled new improvements in variable refrigerant flow (VRF) for its R-2 and Y series of its cooling and heating systems.
Greater efficiency, a smaller footprint, and improved heating commissioning make these outdoor units ideal for commercial applications.
The two-pipe R2 series units now offer simultaneous cooling and heating under 14°F ambient conditions, as well as quiet operation: 58-64 dBA. The Y-series offers cooling and heating up to 50 zones through an outdoor unit, silent operation of 58-65 dBA, cooling to 10°F with an optional low-ambient kit, and a pipe length extended up to 98 feet vertical height between indoor units.
