Chile. According to the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, imports of air conditioning systems and fans for non-industrial use grew by 24% to US$45.3 million in the period from January to November 2012.
In the same period of 2011, sales were US$36.4 million. China is the country that exports the most to Chilean territory, with a share of 65% of the total market equivalent to US$29.4 million. The United States and Korea remain on the list with 7% of the total market, each.
Air conditioning systems account for 52% of total imported equipment, for US$23.4 million, the remaining 48% corresponds to fans that reported sales of US$22 million.
