International. Ford and ACH sold their HVAC activity to French vehicle parts manufacturer Valeo, which partnered with U.S. company Johnson Enterprises and will take over the Sheldon Road complex, located in the U.S. state of Michigan.
The partnership between Valeo and Johnson will be known under the acronym of DTS (Detroit Thermal Systems) and was divided with a 51% stake for the North American firm and 49% for the French. The amount of the operation was not disclosed.
The subsidiary, which will have a payroll of 500 workers, will manufacture components and cooling and heating systems, will continue to meet supplies for Ford vehicles and also hopes to develop technologies in propulsion, lighting and driving assistance.
