Spain. In a supermarket in the city of Valencia, the multinational Carrier installed its latest CO2 refrigeration technology and the third in this country, which was designed for establishments with medium and high ambient temperatures.
Its manufacturers say that the system will save more than 30% in energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50%, thanks to its technology with electronic valves and advanced control system.
The equipment, known as HybridCO2OL™, combines CO2 technology and HFC refrigerant (R134a), was installed on an approximate area of 1,300 m2 built, more than 800 m2 of sales room.
