International. A survey of more than 1,000 HVAC/R industry professionals during the AHR Exposhow concluded that manufacturers are very optimistic about the economic outlook of 2012.
As for overall expectations, about 72% of respondents expect next year to be better, 59% say they expect it to be much better, while only 4% foresee worse outcomes.
Similarly, expectations are encouraging when inquiring about the level of sales, in that sense 82% of professionals say that 2012 will see an increase, while 29% expect sales to improve by more than 10% compared to this year. Continuing the trend, 36% of respondents say that next year sales will increase between 5 and 10%, while another 17% expect the increase to be less than 5%. The above outlook is mainly due to the demand expectations for new products that the surveyed manufacturers have. In addition, they expect the current trend of replacing old equipment with new, greener alternatives to drive sales of such solutions.
