Mexico. Since March 1, engineer Rafael Yáñez Hoyos has been the director of the Council on Technical Excellence (CET). Under his direction, he will be in charge of consolidating the objectives of the Labor Skills Certification Entity, CET, such as the implementation of the certification of air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics in Mexico.
Rafael has led different initiatives and institutional projects at national and international level. Highlights his Presidency of the Council for the Harmonization of Electrotechnical Standards of the Nations in the Americas (Canena) and his leadership as Business Director for NFPA Americas; he was also Director of Marketing at Schneider Electric.
He has extensive experience as an advisor on regulations, certification, institutional strengthening, entrepreneurship, social innovation and shared value. He has also worked on different investment projects and management consulting processes.
He is a Mechanical-Electrical Engineer from the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Veracruzana and has completed diplomas in Management (ITESM-Campus CDMx), Marketing (Univ. Anáhuac-Mayab, Mérida, Yuc.), among others.
