Brazil. Arnaldo Basile Jr., has been proclaimed as the new President of ABRAVA (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating) for the period of 2016/2019. Gilberto Carlos Machado was elected vice president. The event was held on June 23 at the FIESP headquarters in Sao Paulo.
"I am honored with this responsibility, all the more so because of ABRAVA's vibrant history. A behavior of continuity and tireless work of its presidents, executive departments and national directors," said Basile Jr.
ABRAVA represents the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating sectors in Brazil, which together have a turnover of about $32 billion reais (about US$9.5 million) and employ more than 230,000 professionals. Currently, the organization has 400 members.
Arnaldo Basile, who is the director of the Alfa company, replaces the outgoing Wadi Tadeu Neaime.
