Colombia. Recently, the meeting of the Regional Network of the Americas of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) was held, in which ten Sustainable Construction Councils from Latin America and Spain were present.
According to information from the Colombian Council of Sustainable Construction (CCCS), during this meeting held in Bogotá, issues related to collaboration and entrepreneurship of regional projects aimed at sustainable construction were discussed. One of the most specific cases had to do with the creation of a report on the current state of sustainable housing, which will have the support of the United Nations Organization and its UNEP-SBCI program.
Among other personalities, this meeting was attended by Jane Henley, executive director of the WorldGBC, and Cristina Gamboa, executive director of the CCCS.
The next meeting will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 10 and 11 within the framework of the BuildGreen Argentina 2013 Expo, an event organized by the Argentina Green Building Council.
