Dwyer Instruments' new DAFA series is a line of airflow indicators and alarms designed to produce an alert in case of low or no airflow conditions in ducts or pipes.
This device is ideal for monitoring radon mitigation systems by detecting a loss of airflow in the pipe and generating a signal if the fan has stopped working.
The airflow indicator and alarm use a thin, field-adjustable vane to detect the airflow rate in pipe sizes of three to four inches. It is battery powered to provide versatility at the installation location and offers a yellow LED to indicate that the battery is low.
In addition, the battery can last up to five years. An 85 dB doorbell alternates with a bright red LED to alert users when airflow falls below the desired rate.
