This fish looks like something out of a science fiction movie, can you imagine a fish with a transparent head? scientists call it Macropinna microstoma. What is also curious is that it seems to have its own light on its head, it has tubular eyes that are very sensitive to light, that is why they live in the depths of the ocean and it is very difficult to see them.
This fish has been known for many years, but it was thought that its eyes were anchored and that it could only see the objects that were in front of its head, but a study by Bruce Robison and Kim Reisenbichler of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, show us the opposite, it can turn its eyes in any direction within the transparent fluid of its head, therefore they have excellent vision, it is like having eyes on the back of their necks.
