The renewable energy company Sonkyo Energy has equipped with its Windspot wind turbine the Chrysler dealer that has been distinguished as the greenest in the world.
Specifically, the dealer Denzell Bross, in Iowa (United States), has been distinguished by Crhysler as the one that most respects the environment of all that this North American firm has.
The award is called the Environmental Leadership Award, and was established by Chrysler to recognize the efforts of its dealers to respect the environment and implement sustainable technologies in the development of their work.
This year it has been won by the business run in the state of Iowa by the Denzell brothers, and with this award it becomes the greenest of the more than 4,000 car dealerships it has worldwide.
This has been possible thanks to Denzell Bross' commitment to the implementation of renewable energy equipment in its facilities.
This American concessionaire has renewable energy systems supplied by the company Sonkyo Energy, based in Cantabria, which equipped it with two Windspot3.5 mills and a set of solar panels with 10 kW, connected to the electricity grid.
These wind turbines have a power of 3.5 kW, but in the future Sonkyo Energy plans to replace them with two other 7.5 kW mills and, in a final phase, with two others of 15 kW.
The main features of the Windspot are its greater efficiency compared to other mills and its variable pitch system.
The Sonkyo Energy mill is designed for higher performance and easier maintenance, as well as to produce less noise than usual in wind turbines and adapt to the power of the wind.
As Sonkyo Energy is specialized in small wind, the wind turbine is especially suitable for domestic or medium-sized installations, such as farms, schools, industrial spaces or, as in this case, vehicle dealerships.
The Windspot also allows the interconnection of the mill with the energy supply and recharging systems of electric vehicles, so it is revealed as a tool with great potential for this new generation of more environmentally friendly cars. (EUROPA PRESS)
