The xeral director of Industry, Energy and Mines, Ángel Bernardo Tahoces, has underlined the "bet" of the Xunta de Galicia for renewable energies, during the closing of the seminar on "The microgeneration of electricity", organized in A Coruña by the Gas Natural Foundation.
In his speech, he stressed that the future of energy involves "reducing dependence on fossil fuels, promoting renewables and configuring new ways of understanding and managing energy with criteria of efficiency and sustainability," he said.
In addition, he highlighted the "multiple advantages" of the new model of distributed generation or microgeneration, among which he cited "the storage and management of energy resources in the places of consumption to meet the needs of the user with greater safety, quality and efficiency," he added.
He also highlighted the advantages from the environmental point of view and explained that the Xunta de Galicia has developed a demonstration plan for geothermal energy "thanks to which thermal installations were designed and built in buildings to provide them with heating, hot water and cooling through geothermal capture systems", he added.
