Colombia. The District Planning Secretariat in coordination with the National University of Colombia will launch on September 22, the 2024 Action Plan of the Public Policy of Ecourbanism and Sustainable Construction, with the advances and goals for the next decade in terms of urban sustainability for Bogotá.
The event, which will have the participation of national and international experts, will take place in the auditorium of the Science and Technology building of the Faculty of Engineering of the National University, starting at 8 in the morning.
The Policy Action Plan, which will be led by the District Planning Secretariat with the support of the District Secretariats of Environment and Habitat, is valid for 10 years (2014 - 2024), and contains the development of lines of action in priority programs and projects, such as the materialization of the first guides and technical primers for the efficient management of water, energy and materials, in buildings and their urban and rural environment.
Likewise, it includes proposals for pilot projects such as eco-neighborhoods, in urban-rural border areas; sustainable urban drainage systems, use of recycled materials in urban physical infrastructure, roofs and vertical gardens, infrastructure to encourage alternative mobility, among others. In the same way, the updating of the technical standard, public-private partnerships, the incursion of the academy and new social actors such as children and young people.
