International. A study was conducted that shows that drivers are unaware that the use of air conditioning in the vehicle can prevent drowsiness.
The European survey led by Honeywell indicates that 35% of the 2,501 respondents from Spain, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany, ignore this information. It also recommends using the air conditioning system in an average of 22 degrees, since a higher temperature reduces the attention of drivers and generates drowsiness.
However, approximately 50% of drivers in Europe do not use air conditioning until the temperature reaches or exceeds 28 degrees, without knowing that the reaction of a driver is 22% less than 27 degrees than 21 degrees.
Honeywell also highlights that 20% of Europeans are unaware that air conditioning helps eliminate condensation from windshields, that 48% of Europeans do not know that using air conditioning reduces exposure to pollen, other allergens in the air and environmental pollution. In this sense, it should be noted that the air conditioning of cars filters up to 88% of the pollen and other allergens present in the outside air.
