China. During the March 2015 Appliance & Electronics World Expo in Shanghai, a fully functioning 3D printed air conditioner was unveiled.
With this technology, future buyers will have the possibility to fully customize the design and function of the 3D printed air conditioner, according to the way they want it to be.
That means customers will be able to choose the colors, style, performance and structures for their model. They can also customize the LCD screen used for temperature and status display.
The first and only unit shown at the show was immediately sold on-site for $6,395. The manufacturer, Haier, did not elaborate on when its units will be available or their value.
