Spain. The first World Meeting on Energy Efficiency (EME3) ended the previous week with the attendance of 400 people present during three days of development of the event.
The meeting developed different activities where lectures were held, five round tables from each of the thematic areas, and the development of 24 practical cases. Figures such as Tom Watson, President of ASHRAE and Jorma Railio, President of the Technical Committee of REHVA, gave with their keynote speeches a global vision on energy efficiency in the world.
Colombian engineer Camilo Botero, who also recently participated in the TecnoEdificios Congress, was invited to the round table called "Efficient installations and renewable energies: high efficiency air conditioning, aerothermal, geothermal, biomass, solar, mini-wind, microcogeneration".
The event left several conclusions, among which are highlighted that the progress of the energy efficiency sector is less than expected for the existing potential, the importance of generating awareness in the population about the responsible use of energy by improving information by those involved, and the timely development of technological solutions as a support in the process to achieve energy efficiency.
