International. A recent global report by Johnson Controls, called the Energy Efficiency Indicator, highlights that 85% of building managers and owners in the world depend on energy management to boost their operational efficiency.
This means that this figure has increased by 34 points in the last two years, following a survey of 3,500 operators and building owners.
Nearly a third indicated that energy cost savings, tax credits, incentives and rebates have the greatest impact on increasing investments in energy efficiency. The study also indicates that 96% of the people consulted have made at least one efficiency improvement in their buildings in which lighting, installation and control of air conditioning or air conditioning systems and water efficiency stand out.
Another point highlighted by the study indicates that certifications in green buildings are growing, as 44% of the professionals surveyed consider undergoing this certification, compared to 35% the previous year.
