Mexico. With the aim of completely eliminating by 2015 the use of first and second generation equipment that uses polluting gases, the president of the National Association of Manufacturers for the Refrigeration industry in Mexico, José Florentino Gómez, reported that in 2012 an important boost will be given to energy-saving equipment that uses third generation gases, environmentally friendly.
New technologies save up to 70% of energy when compared to traditional equipment. "It is necessary for users to know and, above all, value the ecological contribution of these systems," Gomez said. In addition, the official made an urgent call for the training of refrigeration professionals and technicians with the aim of updating and certifying them since, as he indicated, the fact of not having qualified personnel costs the industry up to 2% of its annual turnover. "When you analyze a lot it is because of a lack of training in technicians because sometimes they install plumbers and a refrigerated air installation is very different. As an industry, we are concerned about raising the level of technicians, having an inventory and giving them a certification credential to reach the First World."
