Colombia. A total of 12 kits of refrigerant gas recovery and recycling equipment were delivered to companies, institutions and refrigeration technicians in the department of Magdalena, Colombia, by the Ministry of Housing, Environment and Territorial Development and the Administrative Department of the Environment of the District (Dadma).
"The idea is that through their work they effectively reduce emissions of gases into the atmosphere and their negative impact on the ozone layer. We have the mission of providing this type of equipment to all companies in the region that are dedicated to this activity, "said José Miguel Dau, director of the District Dadma.
With a cost of $22 million pesos (about US$11,000), each, the kits consist of a refrigerant recovery and recycling machine, four refrigerant gas recovery equipment, compressor, self-purge system, filling control, condenser, ergonomic and portable charger with pressure gauge incorporated into the equipment.
In addition, 11 standard cylinders with a capacity of 25 to 30 pounds with overfill protection censor, four portable welding equipment, four vacuum pumps, two SPX pressure gauges and two hand tool kits were delivered.
Within the agreement it is planned that the Dadma will execute follow-up visits in subsequent days to monitor the proper use of the equipment.
