Industrial production in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country - Euskadi in July 2010 grew by 4.7% compared to the same month in 2009, according to official data prepared by Eustat, basque institute of statistics.

Sectorally, and based on the classification of the large industrial sectors, the evolution of the index of July 2010 compared to July 2009 is positive for all of them. Energy rose by 5.2%, Capital Goods grew by 5.1%, Intermediate Goods by 4.3% and Consumer Goods increased by 4.1% as a whole, as a result of the rise experienced by both Durable Consumer Goods (4.3%) and Non-Durable Consumer Goods (4.0%).
The month-on-month change in July 2010, over June 2010, was positive for Capital Goods, which increased by 2.7% and for Energy, which rose by 2.4%. Intermediate Goods decreased by 1.4% compared to June, and Consumer Goods fell by 1.4%, as a result of the decrease in both Durable Consumer Goods (-4.3%), and Non-Durable Consumer Goods (-0.5%).
The sectors that experienced the highest growth in the month of July 2010 compared to the same month of the previous year were Transport Material and Rubber and Plastic, with rates of 19.5% and 19.1%, respectively.
