
Yesterday's opening day was attended by the Minister of Environment of Colombia, Carlos Costa, the Director of the UNEP Ozone Action Programme, Rajendra Shende and the President of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund of the Montreal Protocol, Javier Camargo, who announced that thanks to the Montreal Protocol a reduction of 130 gigatons of CO2 has been achieved over a period of 20 years.
During the day that ended last night, different companies presented refrigeration alternatives based on ammonia, CO2, and hydrocarbons such as cyclopentane. Insulation foams and gases for refrigeration and HVACR systems were the topics that aroused the most interest among the attendees.
