Chile. Six women were certified as Installers/Maintainers of HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment in a ceremony organized by the Center for the Evaluation and Certification of ColdHeat Labor Competencies.
The certification, granted by ChileValora, is part of the Free Evaluation and Certification Program for Women in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
The initiative, promoted by the Ozone Unit of the Chilean Ministry of the Environment, seeks to close gender gaps in the sector and promote female participation in technical and leadership roles.
The event was attended by the Minister of the Environment, Maisa Rojas; the executive director of ChileValora, Ximena Rivillo; and the coordinator of the Ozone Unit, Claudia Paratori, as well as representatives of the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning A.G.
During the day, authorities and experts highlighted the importance of female inclusion in the industry and the need to continue with training and certification programs.
In addition, a candidate was also certified in the profile of Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Operator at the ceremony.
