Mexico. With the creation of Prosolia Mexico, the company opens its first subsidiary in the Americas after more than ten years without activity on the continent.
Upon arrival in the country, the company is confident in a market with vast potential, especially in the industrial sector where innovation and sustainability are key to driving economic growth. According to data from the International Energy Agency (IEA), global renewable energy capacity is estimated to increase by 2,400 gigawatts (GW) between 2022 and 2027. In parallel, the Mexican Solar Energy Association has revealed that more than 80% of the national territory is ideal for the development of these projects, which highlights Mexico's great potential in the renewable energy sector.
The subsidiary will be headed by Pedro Aznar, an industrial engineer with an extensive professional career in the region. His solid experience in the exploration and expansion of markets in the region will allow him to lead this new phase of the company's growth. "The Mexican energy market is increasingly demanding sustainable and efficient technologies, which positions our company as a key strategic partner for companies seeking to transform their energy model. Through personalised and innovative solutions we can help them to advance in the decarbonisation of their activity and improve their competitiveness through the use of clean energy", says Aznar.
For his part, Javier Martínez, CEO of the Prosolia Energy group, indicates: "Our arrival in Mexico represents a strategic opportunity to position ourselves in an international market with enormous growth potential, which can also serve as a gateway to explore new opportunities on the continent. Are
excited to establish our presence here and to work closely with our customers to lead the energy transition in Mexico together."
