Joachim Ley is appointed CEO of Ziehl-Abegg

Joachim Ley es nombrado director general de Ziehl-Abegg

International. The company announced that Joachim Ley, who until now served as its Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Ziehl-Abegg.

According to the manufacturer, Ley has been with the company since 2021 and played an active role in shaping its global growth. The executive has a degree in industrial engineering and was previously responsible for areas such as production, purchasing, central logistics and processes. The company also reported that Joachim Ley is 47 years old, married and has two children. After completing his studies, he assumed various management positions in the operational area. Prior to joining Ziehl-Abegg, he was a member of the board of directors of a market-leading supplier to the aviation industry for many years.

"Ziehl-Abegg is a family business and will remain so in the future. This DNA has been shaped by my family for more than 100 years and so we will continue in the face of global change. With Mr. Joachim Ley (CEO), Mr. Wolfgang Mayer (CTO) and a successor to the position of CFO to be appointed as soon as possible, in the future we will have an executive board consisting of three members," said Dennis Ziehl, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

"I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Wucherer as CEO and Mr. Kanig as CFO for their work over the past few years," Ziehl added, referring to the executives who previously held these positions.
